School Gardens Make A Difference

In a comprehensive review of 20 years of literature on the impact of school garden programs in the U.S., 93% of the studies reported improved student performance in science, 80% saw improvement in math and 72% noted improvement in language arts (Williams and Scott Dixon, 2013).

Nevada School Garden Study

In 2015, Dr. Jennifer Pharr at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas conducted a study to understand the impact of Green Our Planet’s outdoor school garden program on students locally. Dr. Pharr found similar results that we have placed in the infographic below.
