Summer is officially here, and if you’re anything like us, you’re always looking for ways to stay cool, hydrated, and just a little bit fancy without much effort. Our Thai Basil Strawberry Mocktail does all of that and more.

Made with ingredients you can grow right on your kitchen counter, it’s sweet, herbaceous, and endlessly refreshing. It’s also kid- and family-friendly, making it a great choice for backyard afternoons, weekend gatherings, or just a fun summer activity to do together.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz whole strawberries
  • 2 tbsp Thai basil leaves (fresh from your countertop garden)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Sparkling water (to taste)
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Blend strawberries until smooth.
  2. Pour blended berries into a saucepan, add Thai basil leaves and sugar.
  3. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain through a sieve to remove seeds and leaves.
  5. Let the syrup cool, then chill in the fridge.
  6. When ready to serve, pour 50 ml of syrup over ice, top with sparkling water, and garnish with Thai basil.

Our mocktail is a total summer win. Whether you’re pouring it for a crowd or making a quick glass for yourself, it’s a simple way to turn garden ingredients into something worth toasting. Cheers to staying cool, sipping slow, and growing what you drink.
